Original 57 ST

Description

The Original 57 ST brings the legendary Stratocaster® pickups of the 1950s back to life, delivering the harmonic richness and extraordinary dynamic response of the originals. Its meticulous vintage-correct construction is the result of many years of dedicated research and faithfully recreates the sound of true 1957 pickups. Hand-wound with period-correct Heavy Formvar wire and featuring period-correct Alnico 5 magnets with a vintage-spec charge, the Original 57 ST produces a complex and airy harmonic range, with bright, transparent highs, broad yet defined lows, and a natural twang that makes every note come alive and three-dimensional. Its exceptional sensitivity to even the slightest variation in touch allows the player to explore every nuance of the instrument’s voice. The Original 57 ST finds its finest expression with the maple fingerboards typical of 1950s Stratocasters—a sonic signature that helped define the language of great guitarists such as Buddy Guy, Jimmie Vaughan, and Eric Clapton
