true vintage bass series
Original 51 PB
Relive the sound of the early days with the Original 51 PB , a meticulous replica of the single-coil pickup found in the first 1951 Precision Bass models. Featuring the classic four Alnico 5 magnets and hand-wound with selected Plain Enamel wire, this model delivers a dynamic response that is markedly different from later split-coil designs: the tone is more open, direct and percussive, with tight lows, a fast attack, and the distinctive thump that shaped the earliest rock'n'roll, country and rhythm & blues recordings of the 1950s. The result is an authentic, direct and raw voice that naturally cuts through the mix, both on stage and in the studio. An ideal choice for players seeking the unmistakable character of the early slab-body Precision Bass.
