true vintage bass series
True 72 JB
In 1972, the Jazz Bass underwent a significant modification: the bridge pickup was moved slightly closer to the bridge saddles, opening the way to a brighter and more defined tone, with a more immediate and incisive attack. Selected Plain Enamel wire, grey bobbins and a slightly overwound design deliver higher output and added compression in the low-mid frequencies, resulting in a more defined and punchy sound compared to earlier years. The True 72 JB reproduces this exact character, ideal for funk, slap, rock and any context where the bass needs to cut through with presence and definition, while still maintaining the dynamics and balance that made the Jazz Bass legendary.
