true vintage guitar series
Original 52 TL
For the Original 52 TL, we studied the sound and specifications of early-'50s Blackguard Telecaster pickups. Vintage-charged Alnico 3 magnets and selected hand-wound plain enamel wire deliver the dynamic, percussive attack and warm, woody tone that made these pickups so highly regarded. The bridge pickup captures the voice of the original flat-pole Telecasters, with a dense sound rich in low-mid frequencies, capable of growling while retaining smoothness and roundness in the high end. The period-correct brass cover on the neck pickup helps warm the tone with a slight compression in the midrange, ideal for enhancing the acoustic response of maple fingerboards. The extraordinary dynamic sensitivity of the Original 52 TL allows you to control amp saturation simply by varying the intensity of your touch.
